Bodysurf Scotland is a Social Enterprise that promotes and produces dance, movement and related arts events that aim to make a positive difference in the world. Our activities include producing high quality performances, workshops and training, cultural leadership services and, more broadly, community health and well-being projects. The company’s vision is to be the international centre for dance in Scotland and to support change in our relationship to the planet and society 'one dance step at a time'.
We are a small company staffed by Karl (artistic director), Deborah (associate producer), Liz (admin) and Simon (business development).
Bodysurf Scotland collaborates with a range of committed and passionate individuals, teachers, artists and organisations, internationally and locally, to produce a high quality programme. We are situated on a 2 mile long peninsula amongst beautiful beaches, sand dunes and woodlands, based in The Universal Hall Arts Centre, Findhorn, Morayshire, Scotland.
Having recently been given Social Enterprise status we aim to take our vision forward, expanding our work with people of all ages and all abilities across a wider geographical area; to support a sense of creativity, co-operation and community, through art, culture and sustainability awareness.
At Bodysurf Scotland we are always working on very tight budgets to produce our events and activities. A lot of the we do is unpaid and we are severely under-resourced in IT terms. We are in critical need of assistance to get new computers, software and accessories to support our ongoing programme and future development.
Please help us raise this money for essential equipment by contributing to our fund and join us in developing our future vision.
If you want to contact us and talk in more detail about our plans and activities for the next year or two then please feel free to call us or even come and visit us.Visit project website
