Un-Wired Scotland is an online platform for unsigned Scottish musicians that will help them to reach an audience and build a fan base.
The funds we raise at this stage - £500 - will contribute to the cost of publishing CD copies of a compilation album, Un-Wired Scotland 2012 featuring 15 original artists from around Scotland.
Un-Wired Scotland is committed to producing live events and promotions for up-and-coming Scottish musicians, as well as gig guides, forums and promotional tools for musicians and their music. A fortnightly podcast that exposes new music in and around Scotland is in production for release in April.
We will also take the opportunity to promote Scottish musicians at events across the country. Long term, our plan is to establish the Un-Wired Scotland recording studio, providing low cost, recording facilities for emerging musicians in Scotland.
In the meantime, there's a lot of talent out there to be discovered, shared and enjoyed, so make a promise now, please!
